My dog has fleas and ticks. Are injectable treatments safe for him?

My local vet has told me that there's an anti tick and flee serum that's given under the skin for exreme cases. And recently I have found a lot of fleas and ticks in my dog. Should I give it to my dog or will it be unhealthy for him? Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 14 days old

I would recommend pursuing other options such as topical anti-flea medication similar to frontline or advantage or even an oral medication such as Nexguard These tend to be safer for dogs your puppies age and have less side effects.
