Why is my dog vomiting, drooling, and not drinking after peeing?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 10 months and 5 days old | 5 lbs

Took my dog out to pee, she was on the rocks squatting and then took off running to the back door still peeing on the sidewalk, now she's drooling excessively and won't drink her water and has thrown up 3 times in the last 2 hours

Based on the description of the situation, it sounds like something scared the bejesus out of her. Coupled with the current clinical signs, I suspect that MJ could have been stung or bitten by an insect or animal. I would definitely have her seen by a vet in the morning at the very latest, but on an emergency basis should the vomiting seem to continue or worsen. It looks like you are from the southwest, where there are lots of nasty things out there that can bite and sting. Keep a very close eye on MJ in the meantime. Hope this helps.
