Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 12 lbs
My female cat just threw up her wet food. In the past week, she threw up dry food only, twice. The wet food vomit is larger than the dry food. We asked our vet about this last week who suggested we use a slow feeder as she eats very fast, however the larger amount of vomit has me more concerned now. The slow feeder is in the mail on its way to us. Do we need to take her to the vet ER?

If Merida is otherwise acting normal you probably don't have to take her to the ER tonight. If she is unable to stop vomiting or you see blood in her vomit then I would take her in. Try feeding her smaller meals multiple times a day while you are waiting on your slow feeder and see if this helps. If the slow feeder does not help the problem you may need to switch her diet to something more easily digestible or something for sensitive stomachs.

Since it is consistent vomiting I would take her in but it doesn't have to be in emergency unless she stops eating and drinking and the vomiting gets worse. They make special bowls that help them eat a little slower
