Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | 4 months and 5 days old
I just adopted a (4 month old) cat and they said she'd been checked out by a vet and was healthy but she's been sneezing really bad since we've got her and she doesn't seem to want to eat anything these past couple of days. Her eyes water but the liquid coming out is clear. What could be going on? Thank you.

A lot of cats have viral infections such as influenza, herpes and calici, that come and go. They hide in the system and recur usually in times of stress. The move has likely caused a virus to reemerge. It should clear up by itself but if she becomes very unwell it would be worth a vet visit. The initial viral stage has likely caused a high temperature which could be putting her off food.

What a cutie! It sounds like she might be suffering from a chronic viral infection, which some cats are prone to. It can be an active infection, or there can be structural changes in the nose from previous infection that cause frequent colds and runny noses. L-lysine treats help some cats with this issue. Otherwise, a vet appointment whenever it's going on for more than 3-4 days or if she has a decreased appetite or is squinting her eyes.
