What's the best age to bathe my pug puppy and should I use shampoo?

hii i have a female pug name pavi she is one month and 3 days old. i want to know that what is the perfect age for her to get bathe?? and should i use shampoo or only water??

Pavi can have a bath at any time and you should use a dog shampoo. Just make sure the water is a comfortable temperature, avoid getting water in her face, and dry her well and keep her warm after the bath.

    Hello. You can bathe your puppy at any time. I would use a product labeled for puppies & kittens or just use a mild oatmeal based shampoo. You can bathe her every week or so as necessary. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

8 weeks old is the minimum age to begin bathing a puppy. Use a pet approved shampoo for puppies sensitive skin. She can be bathed every 6-8 weeks. You can use plain, unscented baby wipes or pet wipes to spot clean her in between baths. If you bathe her at night, dry her thoroughly and keep her war to prevent chill. It is best to bath her early in the day so she has ample time to dry off and doesn't go to sleep damp.

How many times am I supposed to get my 2 month old puppy a bath
Hello and thank you for reaching out to Boop by Petco. Your puppy should not need a bath unless she becomes excessively dirty from being outside. If you want to bathe her, I recommend no more than once every 2 weeks, using a puppy-safe shampoo and taking care not to get soap in her eyes. I hope this is helpful!

Hi I'm wondering if it's okay to bathe my new 8 week old husky mix with lab and how many times a month?
Aw Snoopy is adorable! Yes you can bathe him but I would use something very gentle like a puppy shampoo. I do not recommend using a flea shampoo as these can sometimes be too strong for puppies. You can bathe him every 2-3 weeks unless he gets really muddy/stinky and needs a bath otherwise. I hope this helps!

There's no reason why Pocholo can't have a bath on rainy days. Anytime time of day is fine for him to have a bath, but it's not recommended to bath a dog more than once a month unless they are very dirty. That's because bathing him too often can dry out his skin and strip out it's natural oils.

Hello. You can bath your Frenchie today if you like. Use a mild, oatmeal based shampoo, or one labeled for puppies of which there are many. I would not bathe more than every week or so, unless she gets extremely dirty. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Picking up our new puppy tomorrow. Curious about how often to do baths at this age?
I typically wait until 8 weeks of age before bathing so I would hold off on bathing until then. If you have to because he is dirty, I would bathe him once and then wait until he is 8 weeks of age to bathe on a more regular basis. An oatmeal based shampoo such as Aloe and Oatmeal shampoo by Animal Pharmaceuticals is one I would recommend. I hope this helps! How often can i bathe my puppy? My sister in-law says i should wait atleast 15 days to bathe him again because it causes stress in dogs and he'll get sick.
Hi there! Thanks for using Boop by Petco! You can consider waterless shampoo which you can use with a towel and it does a pretty good job. You can use this for the next month or so to allow Luffy to get a little older to be able to bathe him more frequently. The main reason for this is that puppies less than 2 months old cannot regulate their temperature as well as older pups. I think waterless shampoo which you can get at your local pet store would work great for you. Good luck!

Is it safe to shower a 5 week old puppy, and if so are flea shampoos OK?
Hello, yes it is ok to bathe your puppy however, please use warm water and make sure she is thoroughly dry after her bath. Some flea shampoos may be ok for puppies this young, you should find the recommended age for the shampoo you are trying to use on the bottle itself. Most often, if you puppy has fleas, it is most safe to bathe with plain water and shampoo. Most of the time, you won't need flea shampoo. Hope this helps and best of luck.
