Should I worry about blue merle Pomeranian blindness or deafness?

I'm thinking of buying a micro blue merle Pomeranian it's the most beautiful dog I've ever laid eyes on its so tiny, but a few years ago we had a blue merle chihuahua that went blind and deaf will this happen with the Pom?

With that type of gene selection I would not be surprised to see issues such as blindness and deafness. You could have a prepurchase exam done by a veterinarian to include examining the retinas as well as even potentially specialize electrical diagnostics to test for hearing ability prior to buying the dog.
