Poor Gator! Redness in the ears can be caused by multiple things including infections, parasites, injury, etc. Watch for signs of infection such as scratching the ear, shaking his head, a foul smell, or discomfort upon touching. If the redness continues or you notice any of these signs, I would recommend having him seen by a veterinarian. They can swab the ear and look under the microscope to determine if there is any sign of a problem. Most infections can be treated with ear drops from your vet. I'm hoping for all the best for you and Gator!
