Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed
I'm interested in adopting this dog but she will not be made available until her leg heals. They said they have taken her to multiple vets and none can tell what this is. X-rays say it isn't broken. There seems to be warts/some disease on the skin and it is swelled. She couldn't walk on it today and just hobbled on the other three legs. They're treating her with various antibiotics but they have no clue what this is. I hate seeing her in pain and just want her to get better so I can adopt her!

I'm so sorry to hear that Tabitha isn't feeling well. I don't see any distinctive lesions, but the swelling does appear to be significant. At this point, I would recommend moving on to different diagnostics like a joint tap to test the fluid in the joint as well as a skin scrape or other diagnostic for the skin lesions. It would also help to know approximately how old Tabitha is. I don't know what resources are available to the adoption group/agency, but if she could be evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon that would be ideal. Hope this helps in some small way! Best of luck to you and Tabitha. Sounds like she has found a wonderful, caring forever home with you! I am also happy to answer any other questions via consultation.
