This type of toy may pass through his G.I. tract: It could also cause an obstruction or blockage and require surgery to remove. If Harry has any vomiting, decreased appetite, seems painful or week he needs to be checked out by a veterinarian immediately.

Since the ingestion happened about 2.5 hours ago, it may be too late to induce vomiting. However, your veterinarian can take an x-ray to see if the squeaker is visible within the stomach, in which case vomiting may still be successful. If not, he will need to be closely monitored over the coming days for signs of vomiting, poor appetite, and lethargy.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Winnie. A squeaker from a toy can cause an obstruction. This is where the piece of the toy becomes lodged in the stomach or intestines. This is an emergency and requires surgery to remove it. Signs of this occurring include vomiting, not wanting to eat or drink and lethargy. If you notice any of these signs in Winnie, then she will need to see her veterinarian right away. If she chewed it into small enough pieces, she may pass it on her own. She may also vomit it up. You can seek veterinary care now, but the squeaker may not show up on an x-ray of her belly making it difficult to know if she consumed it or not. Please monitor her very closely. I hope this information helps!
