Dog fight injury: Neck torn, bleeding. Can I treat it at home tonight?

Our dog got into a fight with our other dog. His skin at the base of his neck is tore apart. He clearly has a lot of pain and is bleeding still. Its almost 11 pm at night so I can't take him to a vet right now. I need to know what I can do to get him thru the night. My mom doesn't want to take him to the vet I think he needs to go but.. Its my mom she does what she wants. PLEASE tell me what I can do to help him at least for now. I need an answer soon!!!

This is a medical emergency and your dog has to see a vet tonight if he's still bleeding and in a lot of pain. He likely needs stitches to close up his wound, and there is nothing safe you can give him at home for his pain. Many human pain medications are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. This wound can become severely infected if left untreated, and he will still be in a lot of pain. I would let your mother know you spoke to a veterinarian who told you that he has to see a vet now. Your mom can check to see if there is an ER vet clinic in your area; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Please take him into a vet now.
