My dog's eyelid cut is swollen after grooming. Should I see a vet?

Hi! A few days ago, my shih tzu dog went to a new groomer for a haircut. She came home with a cut on her eyelid. That night, the cut started bleeding. I cleaned out the blood and the cut seemed fine. But today, I looked at the cut again, and it seems to have swelled up a bit. Is it infected? The cut also looks like it is irritating her, as she keeps blinking that eye more often. Should I take her to the vet?

Poor Molly! You did the right thing by cleaning the cut off when you first noticed it. Yes, if it is looking a bit swollen and red, and she is blinking her eye more than normal, I would recommend taking her to the vet tomorrow to have this checked - these can be signs of infection, so it sounds like she may need a course of antibiotics to help resolve the problem.
