My 3-week-old kitten has brown bumps on genitals. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I have 3 week old kittens that were abandoned and I've been bottle feeding since they were 2 days old. One has brown bumps near his genital area and down his legs. They seem to be getting worse and the other kitten succles on them. We separated them but aren't sure how to help him or know what they are. A couple broke open but didn't seem to be filled with any fluids. Can you tell what they are and what we should do?

That area is very infected and inflamed. There is not much you can do at home except give him a bath and keep it clean and dry. Keep the other kittens away so it can be spread or they can't make it worse A vet will have to examine how deeps those go and some antibiotics.
