My puppy always goes under the couch to sleep. Is this normal?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 3 months and 18 days old | 10 lbs

This is my very first puppy so please forgive me for being paranoid and over sensitive. For some strange reason my puppy has taken to going under the couch to sleep. Even when I pull him out he returns as soon as turn away. Is this normal behavior?

Hi there! Ziggy is probably just going somewhere he feels safe. Under your couch is a place that is probably mostly dark and somewhat confined. This is why many people crate train their puppies-it gives them a place to feel safe and secure! Hope this helps you, and congrats on your new puppy!
