My dog is shaking his head, ear infection? Is it an emergency if vet closed?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 4 years and 9 months old | 19 lbs

My dog is a poodle mix and he keeps shaking his head. I think he has an ear infection. Is this an emergency? My vet is closed today.

It's not an immediate emergency but it is definitely very uncomfortable and painful, if you have the option to take him today to the out of hours vet i would recommend doing that, otherwise take him to your vet first thing tomorrow morning.

    Hi there. If Vinnie is suffering from an ear infection it is not an emergency, it is just uncomfortable. It will be safe to wait until your dr is open to have him seen and they can prescribe you some medications after doing a thorough exam on the ear. Hope this helps lessen your worries!
