Cat straining in litter box after booster shots? What should I do?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 15 lbs

My cat just got his booster shots today and he is having a hard time pooping keeps going in box but nothing. What can I do?

I would be more concerned that tanner might be straining to urinate. I would check his litter box for urine. If their is no urine in the box I would recommend taking him to an emergency clinic to make sure he is not obstructed. This is where males cats urethra is blocked and considered a medical emergency. If he has large amount of urine in his box you could try to increase fiber in his food with Metamucil.
