My dog had his rabies vaccine yesterday. He had a seizure today. Can the vaccine cause this to happen?

That us not a common reaction to that vaccine that far out but it is worth reporting it to your vet so they can talk to manufacturers of the vaccine. If she is normal now and only had the one, it is best to keep a log of what he was doing before it happened, how long it lasted and how long until her was back to normal. He is young to be an epileptic and seizures at that age are commonly something they got into.

Oh no, I'm so sorry Riley had a seizure! No, vaccines do not typically cause seizures as a side effect, and I would be concerned there could be another cause behind it such as liver disease, diabetes, toxin exposure, or a brain tumor among other causes. I would have Riley seen by a vet for this, as it's important to diagnose and treat the cause of the seizure. If he seizes again before you seek veterinary care, do not put your hands near his mouth, monitor him to make sure he doesn't hurt himself crashing into any furniture, and seek emergency veterinary care if the seizure lasts more than five minutes.
