My dog has inoperable throat melanoma. How long will he live?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 11 years and 11 months old | 50 lbs

my dog has been diagnosed with malignant melanoma tumor in the throat. they said it is too big to remove. how long will my dog survive if i choose to do nothing?

Hi there, I'm very sorry to hear about Obie's diagnosis. Unfortunately it's impossible to know exactly how long he would have left without staging to figure out exactly how far and if the cancer has spread to other organs. You may have received a preliminary report with some of this information. It would also require x rays and blood work to check for abnormalities. It could range anywhere from weeks to years.
