Why does my puppy get more excited for new people than for me?

So we have had Remi for 2 weeks and I stay home with her all day, basically I train, feed, bathe, wake up with her. You name it, heck I even did her shots. And she falls asleep on me and is super nice and obedient, but she goes absolutely y crazy over anyone new, tail wagging, licks, cuddles, and I get jealous she doesn't do that to me :( Does she view me as the alpha and treats with respect or what? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 1.7 lbs

It's normal for puppies to get more excited over "new" people than with their owners - someone new is a novelty and very exciting :) This does not mean that she doesn't love you. It sounds like she's very closely bonded to you, and everything is going just as it should be. So try not to be offended that she gets more excited about new people than she does over you - she's excited about them because they are new and different.
