My cat has a sensitive, leaking spot. Should I clean it or see a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 8 years and 4 months old | 12 lbs

Small white (size of the end of a ballpoint pen-writing end) raised and appears to be leaking. Sensitive to touch and just appeared. Indoor female 8 yrs old. Never outdoors. Not showing any abnormal behavior at all. Watch it or attempt cleaning with sterilized water, hydrogen peroxide?

If the area is sensitive I would not recommend trying to clean it as that could cause Daisy to bite or scratch. If the area is not getting better, seems to be getting worse or Daisy begins acting ill, I would recommend that you have her seen by your veterinarian.
