My cat still won't eat or drink after vet and anti-sickness shot.

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 6 years and 1 month old

My cat hasn't eaten anything for 3 days and hasn't drank since yesterday he had been vomiting until this morning when I took him to the vet and they gave him an anti sickness injection I've tried food and water and he's not interested

He may not feel like eating just yet as it is common it can take a day for his appetite to come back. I would let him rest today and let the medication start working. Try his food or even a little tuna in the morning. If he is still uninterested then you might want to get him rechecked for further testing

    Often times the appetite does not return until 24 hours after the injection. Since he is drinking and not vomiting that is a good sign and he is not getting dehydrated. It is common for them to feel a little lethargic also. Try some food every 8-12 hours to test his appetite, if no appetite returning then get him rechecked

    Without knowing the type of injection, it is difficult for me to say if one has anything to do with another. If it was a simple vaccination, this can be a pretty typical side effect from something like this. I wouldn't worry as long as the refusal to eat doesn't last greater than 24 hours. If you want, you can try offering something like hamburger, tuna, or chicken just to whet his appetite. Just don't give too much as you may cause some diarrhea in such a young kitty. Hope this helps!
