Will natural anxiety supplement interfere with my cat's spay surgery?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 5.4 lbs

I have an appointment to get a 3 year old stray kitty spayed on Wednesday. (She has already had all her shots) My question is, I have another cat scheduled for a vet appointment later in the week, as well. I just started adding Tomlyn Anxiety & Stress additive to her water. (It is an all natural additive.) The other kitty going in to be spayed has been drinking it, too. Will this interfere with her spay surgery in any way? I literally just started adding this to the water 3 days ago.

If this is an all natural supplement, it should be fine and not interfere with the spay of your cat at all. If it is something medicated however, I would recommend calling your vet and letting them know about it, or just stopping it until after the cat has been spayed.

That is unlikely to interfere with her spay procedure. I would alert the veterinarian when you drop her off that she has been on this additive so they can doublecheck to make sure there's no issues with any of the medications they're going to give.
