My mini schnauzer has a new red skin rash. Can I use aloe vera?

I have a mini schnauzer, he has a rash (since las night) his belly is all red. He has no hair loss, only casp, he eats only dog food, he is in a clean place. What can I give him? Can I use aloe vera gel (directly form the plant) ? Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Schnauzer | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 2 months old | 15 lbs

Charlie's belly looks very sore and inflamed. It can be from a topical reaction if he rubbed against something new or an environmental allergen. I would not use topical aloe as it can upset their stomach if they ingest any. Give him a cold bathe and you can apply some topical cortisone cream. If he is scratching it or licking it a lot or it is not better by morning, I would take him to your vet
