Why is my dog's skin flaky, red, and sore after hot weather?

My 2 yr old black lab has very flakey skin with areas on back and by tail of soreness. lumps of what look like very dry and red skin. Only noticed it in past 2-3 days but flaking since very hot weather last week. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 2 years and 4 months old | 77 lbs

He could be suffering from an allergic reaction from the heat, environment, or fleas. You can give him a bath with head and shoulders shampoo to help with the dry skin until your vet can check the area for an underlying cause.
