Why is my dog suddenly aggressive in his crate when chewing a bone?

Pet's info: Dog | Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 10 months old

Hi ! Recently when my dog is in his travel cage/crate and his butt facing the opposite side of the door of it was chewing his bone and i touch him kinda tried to reach his head but he first time had his neck fur all the way up and kinda tried to bite me , is it normal ? This happens only last 2 weeks recently

This can be a sign of food aggression or you may have simply startled him and that is his natural response to protect himself. make sure he knows you are there next time If it continues then you need to seek training and stay on top of that to make sure he understands that is unacceptable behavior
