Shelly is very lucky that you are so dedicated to providing her with a quality diet. The diet you are providing is not likely to be balanced over the long term. If you would like to continue cooking for her I would recommend consulting with your veterinarian. They can help you to develop a more balanced diet. Alternatively you can also consult www.balanceit.com which has a tool that can help you formulate a balanced diet for your dog. In either case you will likely have to provide a vitamin and mineral supplement to ensure that the diet is balanced long-term. A more convenient option for most pet owners is to use a commercial dog food. These foods are designed to be balanced and complete over the long-term. It is not unusual for a dog to consume the stools of other dogs and sniff that where they have urinated. I would recommend preventing her access to other dogs' stools as this could be a source of parasites.
