Today as i was playing with my dogs , i notice a small bump on the side of my pups eye and like mucus on the side of it and i cleaned it off and there was a bit of hair on the area and it didnt look red , just a bump but im scared because i had a. That would be extremely rare to have to put a dog down because of an eye infection. See what happens now that you cleaned the mucous away. If it comes back than you should have your vet take a look at him to determine if medication is needed. He may need an antibiotic to treat an infection. So sorry about your other dog. That is sad.
