What happens if I postpone my cat's cancer chemo treatment by 11 days?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | spayed | 13 years and 1 month old | 7.8 lbs

I'm forced to postpone an appt for Adriamycin inf and oral Cytocan by 11 days (for primary breast ca metastasized to lung)This is her 3rd Tx and she has fared well thus far. Postpone due to $$ short-fall. How much potential damage by postponing? Thank you very much. Siamese (F) 13yo 7.8#

Sometimes chemo treatments have to be postponed for a couple of days due to a low white blood cell counts, so you having to postpone Monkey's treatment will not do significant damage. It is important, however, that you do get her in as soon as you can.
