What is the grey haze on my cat's eye that doesn't affect vision?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Bombay | Male | neutered

My cat has a congenital eye defect that I can not match to anything on the internet. It can best be described as a grey/blue haze. It is not entirely opaque; I can see his green eyes beneath it. It doesn't seem to affect his vision. Just curious to know whats going on.

This sounds like a corneal edema. This can be caused by intraocular disease, such as glaucoma or uveiti. It may also indicate breed-related endothelial dystrophy or age-related endothelial degeneration, which would be genetic defects.
