Is the wound next to the anus? This may be an infected anal sac. try to rinse it with iodine solution to get all the debris out. You will need to cover the wound, so flies will not lay eggs in it. If you keep the wound clean , then it should heal. Once there is no more pus or debris and it looks a healthy red, then do not wash it anymore and observe it, It should start healing.
