My dog ate snow on the mountain plant. What symptoms to watch for?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Cocker Spaniel | Male | neutered | 5 years and 5 months old | 35 lbs

I think my 35 lb cocker spaniel may have eaten some snow on the mountain plant outside. Can you tell me symptoms to look for?

Unless Bentley ate a very large quantity of snow, he shouldn't suffer any symptoms. In case he ate a large amount you should watch for the following symptoms: 1. Increased urination 2. Nausea and gastrointestinal upset 3. Drastic drop in blood pressure (lethargy, weakness) 4. Body and muscle weakness 5. Neurological issues If he experiences any of those- take him to the vet urgently in order to get treatment.
