I found a few brownish colored looking pinworms.....or maybe larva.....not sure. I found it where one of my cats has spent a lot of time lately? How can I tell right now if it was from the cat? I looked online for a lookalike but I seen so many.

It's probably tapeworms actually, very common in cats and look like little larvae, those worms arrive with fleas, which are their intermediate host, so you will have to de-flea and de-worm your cat. Make sure the dewormer you use also works against tapeworms (drontal, mylbemax, Profender).
