My puppy is just over 10 weeks old. She is currently on Albon for coccidia. I have noticed moving tapeworm segments in her stool. What I'm wondering is, can she take the praziquantel (by Bayer Expert Care) while taking the Albon for the coccidia? I want to buy and start her on the praziquantel tomorrow if possible. I left messages for her vet and have not heard back from them. She is a Chihuahua mix and at her vet visit last week, she weighed 2.75 lbs. I would really appreciate some advice. Thx

Yes, they can be taken together, but because Bayer Expert Care is available without a prescription, the strength of the praziquantal will not be a strong as found in Drontal (which can only be given by prescription from the vet), and you may not get as good results. I would recommend taking Josie into the vet for an exam to get Drontal, it is an extremely effective and safe deworming treatment.
