Rajah apparently does not have a lot of calloused skin on his pads. He will only get that by walking on hard ground. If the dog spends most of his life inside on carpeted floors then the pads will be soft and you can see hyperemia through the skin. You need to take Rajah for walks on varied terrain. If you think his pads are inflamed or hurt,. please make an appointment with your veterinarian for a foot exam.
