Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Male | neutered
My dog is a Blue merle Pomeranian. He is about 9 years old and for the last 4 years he has lost most of his coat. Had large pustules that would pop and ooze and hard black bumps that are crusty. He is itchy as well. We went to a dermatologist who couldn't hone in on a diagnosis. He is on a chicken, gluten, grain free diet. Has been on countless rounds of antibiotics and has done nothing. He is basically bald now. The vet now suggests that he may be depressed and placed him on antidepressants.

Honestly this sounds like a potentially serious skin problem. I would highly recommend at this point to get Daiquiri's skin biopsied to check for immune mediated diseases and skin cancer. Especially since it seems that everything else has been tried. Also baseline bloodwork (CBC, Chemistry) is highly recommended here. I don't see how depression has anything to do with your pets skin problems.
