My cat has a concussion and is still whining. How to ease his pain?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 8 days old

Hi, it's been less than 24 hours since we've been told our cat has a concusion and he's been given steroids, but when we took him home and gave him a nice space to sleep he slept for a while then got back up and started to whine. It's been going on all day. Is there anything more I can do to make him comfortable?

He likely has a terrible head ache. You should call your vet and ask him whether he recommends a certain pain medicine. Unfortunately many pain medicines used may be contraindicated in concussion. Since your vet examined your cat he will know which pain medicine to prescribe.
