I have old dog shampoo. Does it expire and is it safe for my dog?

I have a bottle of oster animal care shampoo for dogs, it has no expiration date on it but it does say 2009 sunbeam products inc. Is it, or can it expire?? I need to give my dog a bath but want to make sure its safe. It is quite old. But can dog shampoo expire? Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered

Do not use shampoo that is expired or very old. Over the years the components could have gone through a chemical reaction and change which now may be detrimental to your dogs hair and skin. I suggest you throw this shampoo away and get some fresh dog shampoo.
