Should I let my two male canaries see each other in separate cages?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male | unneutered

I have read two different opinions about keeping two Male Canaries. One version is that you keep them in Separate Cages, and that they can "see each other", in the same room. The other Version, is that you keep them in Separate Cages, but where they "Cannot See each other". Which is correct?

That's all they are...opinions. Housing your males within sight of each other will depend on the birds themselves. House them within sight of each other if you want. Monitor for signs of stress (fluttering about, not eating, not singing) and move them out of sight of each other if you must.
