Hi. My dog is blind but can distinguish between light and dark. Is it due to the swelling on the brain? He was bumped Sunday. Will he ever see again. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 7 years and 8 months old

Your dog needs to be seen by a veterinarian to determine the cause of his blindness. A veterinary ophthalmologist would be best because he/she can do a more thorough ocular examination and evaluate the retina and optic nerve. If trauma has caused his blindness than it might resolve with time but he should be treated with anti-inflammatory medications to help with any swelling and inflammation. Please have your dog evaluated by a veterinarian to determine the cause and best way to treat.
