My dog broke a nail and it bled a lot. What should I look out for?

My dog lost a toenail and lost a good amount of blood. What are the side effects from that trama?

Blood loss from a broken nail is usually not life threatening and will not result in any significant side effects. The main issue is pain and sometimes an infection that could develop where the nail broke. If Doughy seems to be limping or if the area become swollen or inflamed, I would recommend taking him to the vet for treatment.
