My spayed dog has pink urine. Could it be a UTI or other issue?

Pet's info: Dog | Bichon Frise | Female | spayed | 6 years and 6 months old

My female bijon maltese mix has been having a slight amount of pinkish urine she is fixed 5 to 6 years old. for about 2 days. very concerned, Thank you ! Jeff

That may be due to a urinary tract infection/inflammation (UTI). Urine analysis and a check up would be needed to confirm or rule out this clinical suspicion and give appropriate treatment. The UTI could come from the bladder, urethra, urethers or even kidneys. It is unlikely to be related to the genital tract.

    Pink indicates there might be traces of blood in the urine, frequent urination could be a sign of a urinary infection. You should take Chance to the vet, take a urine sample with you in a clean container, the urine will be analysed and he will receive an antibiotic treatment probably.
