What dose of Bromelain can I give my 13 yr old, 35 lb dog to combat mouth inflammation? His values are all healthy except slightly elevated monocytes

The recommended dosage of Bromelian is 15mg per pound of body weight, so Obee can have 525mg two to three times a day. I would recommend taking him into the vet to have his mouth examined. This mouth inflammation could be caused by a tooth root abscess, oral tumor, broken tooth, or severe gingivitis. He may benefit from a dental cleaning, scaling, and polishing.
