Deworming medicine can cause diarrhea in dogs, but it should pass in about 24 hours. I would not give him pepto for this, as in dogs it is used for diarrhea caused by something the dog has eaten. I would monitor him for now, and if he still has diarrhea in 24 hours, bring him into your vet. You can try feeding him a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! While you can, this is unlikely to help with diarrhea. I would just wait to see if the diarrhea will continue as it may be an isolated episode. If it continues, I recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Aside from parasites, other things that can cause diarrhea include gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. Good luck and have a good night!
