My dog ate Tylenol 12 hours ago. Is it an emergency for a 22lb dog?

I got home and my petsitrer said my dog ate 12 500mg tylenol tablets about 12 hours ago. He is a 15 y/o 22 pound Jack Russell cross

Oh dear! I'm afraid that B needs to be seen by an emergency vet immediately. The toxic dose of Tylenol in dogs is considered to be 50-100 mg/kg. If B ate 12 500 mg tablets, this is a total of 6000 mg - with his body weight, this works out to 600 mg/kg, which is far above the amount that can cause serious toxicity issues or even death. I would recommend taking him to your nearest emergency clinic right away for treatment.
