Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 2 months old | 9 lbs

My cat seems don't like cat food, wet or dry. Of course he likes wet food than dry food .he will eat it what i gave him cat food but he seems trying hard to finish it. It was like he doesn't prefers cat food. The vet said there is nothing wrong about him. I've try all cat food brands but it didn't work. He only eats his food if hes very starving. He likes human food than cat food Hes getting underweight. Do you think its the best to feed him human food or I'll just continue feeding him cat food

The problem with feeding cats a homemade diet is that it is very difficult to get the correct balance of nutrients cats need. They are obligate carnivores, meaning they have to eat meat in order to survive, and their diet has to provide essential amino acids as their body cannot make them on it's own. I can put links below to websites that provide recipes for homemade diets for cats, and I would check that out if you want to try making a homemade diet for Orieo. I hope this helps! https://secure.balanceit.com https://www.petdiets.com
