If a human has a strep throat would it be contagious to dogs ?

Not commonly no. There is only one strain of strep that is contagious to dogs and it has only been recorded to happen on rare occurrences. Therefore I wouldn't be as concerned about transfer to your pet. Now with that in mind, I wouldn't go allowing your pet to lick all over your face and eat your used tissues in the wastebasket either. Be cautious but not overly concerned about transfer. I hope Luna is able to remain healthy and I hope that you feel better soon.

    I am sorry if and your mom are not feeling well. The chances of Lucas getting it is very slim. I would just watch to make sure he continues to eat and drink normally. I hope this helps and y’all start to feel better!
