Why does my dog get big bumps after laying outside in the sun?

My dog likes laying outside in the sun for a bit each day and around sunset. Usually around sunset when she comes in shes been cover in big round bumps. What are these? Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 4 years and 6 months old | 100 lbs

They look like hives. She likely was bite by a bug and is experiencing an allergic reaction. I recommend you have her seen by your veterinarian to examine the areas and determine if medications are needed if the hives last longer than 2 hours or if you notice vomiting, diarrhea, facial swelling, or worsening hives.
