My 8-month-old dog won't eat his food. What's wrong and what to do?

Help! My 8 month old chihuahua mix dog won't eat. For the past month or so my dog hasnt been eating much. There are days when he eats all his food and there are days when he eats almost nothing. Thw food we feed him is 'Wellness Deboned Turkey, Oatmeal & Salmon Recipe' Is there a reason why he wony eat? What should i do? Please Help me. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | unneutered | 8 months and 8 days old | 8 lbs

It could be that Casper doesn't like this brand of food, and that's why he's refusing to eat it. He will only eat it when he's really hungry. You can try him on a different brand of food, and brands I highly recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science diet, Purina ProPlan, or Iams. If you do decide to switch food, then you need to do it slowly to avoid GI upset. There is also a chance that he could have a dental problem causing him to not eat some days due to pain, and I would recommend a health check by a vet to make sure he is healthy.
