Is my intact female dog pregnant after being mounted, not in heat?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 11 months and 6 days old | 45 lbs

I babysat an intact male dog for 3 days, my female dog is intact as well. However she is not in or near a heat cycle. He mounted her a few times but i quickly intervened. Any possible way she is pregnant. This was almost a month ago but shes been acting a bit odd.

There is always a possibility if the two were tied and both are not fixed. If you suspect your dog may be pregnant, bringing her into the vet to confirm the pregnancy is best. Having your dog spayed is also a good idea if you don't wish to have puppies.
