Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male
I found on the road a cat with a lesion of 2-3 cm diametre, but very deep, colour pink-red, is not bleeding. There is no vet in the area and i tried to apply blue metilend on the lesion but the cat is very scared and has tried to run. Can I apply a local cream with antibiotics? Or antibiotics per os?

Hello! It's great that you're trying to care for the cat you found. Of course, having the lesion looked at by a vet would be ideal to determine if it's a wound that requires antibiotics or further therapy. However, if that's not possible you can apply sugar or honey to the wound. Sugar/honey actually has antibacterial properties, helps stimulate healthy tissue production, and can have an osmotic draw to pull contamination & discharge out of the wound. It would require dressing changes daily. If you would like to post a photo of the lesion we could potentially offer a little more input on its appearance. Hope this helps!
