Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 7 lbs
My 3 year old cat has been leaving very small amounts of poop - almost always loose and liquid-like - around the house for a few weeks. Mostly on my bed it seems, there is usually some amount when I wake up in the morning. My vet expressed her anal glands about a week ago but nothing has changed - could it be her food? She also had a tapeworm issue but received flea/tick medication and a one-use tapeworm treatment. Thanks!

Diarrhea can occur with a food sensitivity or allergy, so her current diet could be contributing to the problem. Other possibilities include persistent parasites, bacterial imbalance, or inflammatory bowel disease. You may want to consider putting her on a prescription gastrointestinal or hypoallergenic diet. A probiotic supplement may help. Lastly you may want to consider bringing her back to the vet to have a fecal test done if this hasn't been repeated. It may be that she needs a course of anti-diarrheal medication in order to fully resolve the diarrhea.
